Abstract

This research has contributed to supplementing the theoretical and practical basis regarding the relationship between geographical indications for pomelo products and local tourism development. The results show that geographical indications are not only significant in protecting intellectual property rights and enhancing the commercial value of products, but also serve as an important resource for the formation and development of distinctive tourism products. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the effectiveness of exploiting geographical indications by developing experiential tourism products associated with pomelo-growing regions to enhance the utilization of geographical indications for tourism development.
